Speaker Bio: Amanda Niewnow grew up near Holdingford, MN and graduated from high school from Becker, MN. She then attended Saint Mary's University of MN where she earned a B.A. in Chemistry and met her husband, Aaron Nienow. Her Ph.D. in (Physical) Chemistry was obtained at the University of Minnesota, followed by the completion of a brief post-doctoral fellowship at Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN before coming to Gustavus Adolphus College as an Assistant Professor in Chemistry. In 2013, she was promoted to Associate Professor.
